THE GENERATE-MI WORKSHOP - Milan 18 June 2018
The event was attended by some MEPs and numerous European policy and planning experts, who contributed by bringing their knowledge on European strategies and programmes as opportunities for the implementation of innovative and competitive projects for extensive areas such as regions and metropolitan cities.
Among the most interesting ideas emerged from the discussion those related to generativity and the need to make citizens and enterprises of the metropolitan areas involved in the processes of co-planning and co-design of public policies.
The guidelines and strategies that the EU Commission promotes within the UIA, URBACT and INTERREG programmes have been highlighted.
The workshop also represented an opportunity to focus on the themes of innovation and transformation of urban spaces in the perspective of sustainable development of the territory and infrastructure.
