Brussels - On next 11th of October the Metropolitan City of Milan, invited by the Lombardy Region, will participate in the European Week of Regions and Cities to be held in the Belgian capital from 8 to 11 October.
(EN) The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
It will be an opportunity for a first approach of knowledge and exchange with the members of a network now consolidated for several years bringing together about 70 European metropolitan areas and regions with the aim of having a common platform where to exchange knowledge, skills and experience on the issues.
Metropolitan city will conduct one of the working sessions bringing its own contribution on the theme "New Skills and New Jobs in the future metropolitan cities", presenting the GENERATE-MI project.

(IT) Bruxelles – Il prossimo 11 Ottobre 2018 Città metropolitana di Milano, invitata da Regione Lombardia, parteciperà alla settimana europea delle città e delle regioni che si terrà nella capitale belga dall'8 all'11 Ottobre.
Insieme a Regione Lombardia organizzerà un workshop sulle nuove competenze e sui nuovi lavori nell’ambito di un meeting della rete europea METREX. Si parlerà del progetto GENERATE-MI.
La Settimana europea delle regioni e delle città è un evento annuale di quattro giorni durante il quale città e regioni mostrano la loro capacità di creare crescita e occupazione, attuare la politica di coesione dell'Unione europea e dimostrare l'importanza del livello locale e regionale per una buona governance europea.
Sarà l’occasione per un primo approccio di conoscenza e di scambio con i membri di un network ormai consolidato da diversi anni che riunisce circa 70 Aree e Regioni metropolitane europee con lo scopo di avere una comune piattaforma dove scambiare conoscenze, competenze ed esperienze sui temi e le policy di governo delle grandi aree metropolitane. Al meeting parteciperanno anche le città di Mosca e Shangai.
Città metropolitana condurrà una delle sessioni di lavoro portando il proprio contributo sul tema “New Skills and New Jobs in the future metropolitan cities” (Nuove competenze e lavori nelle future città metropolitane), presentando il progetto GENERATE-MI.
