Start of construction in the municipality of Melzo
The Line 5 of the Cambio project, funded by PNRR - Next Generation EU, has commenced construction in the municipality of Melzo. This construction site is located along the stretch where the footbridge over SP13 will be built.After these initial works, preliminary soil verification activities will be carried out before excavation, and in January, the construction of the footbridge will commence.
SOME DATA ABOUT LINE 5Line 5 from Milan heading towards Treviglio will connect Segrate, Pioltello, Vignate, Melzo, Pozzuolo Martesana, and Cassano d’Adda, covering a length of 27 km.
TOTAL COST OF THE PROJECT: €17,572,553.1(€14,100,000 PNRR + €3,472,553.1 Irrevocable Works Fund)
DESIGN
- With the mayor's decree no. 185/2023 of 26/07/2023, the final project was approved together with the declaration of public utility, indispensability, and urgency.
- With the executive directive RG 9150/2023 of 10/11/2023, the executive project for Line 5 was approved.
WORKSFor Line 5, the Metropolitan City relied on INVITALIA as the central procurement agency, which awarded the works effectively in September 2023.For Line 5, the works were awarded to the following consortium: Sangalli SPA (Lead), Giudici SPA (Principal), Civelli Costruzioni SRL (Principal), Consorzio Stabile 3 Emme Difesa Ambiente e Territorio Soc. Consortile a R.L. (Principal), Nuove Iniziative SRL (Consortium).
