Connection between Vaprio d'Adda, Pozzo D'Adda up to Bellinzago Lombardo

Work begins on the cycle path along the SP ex SS525

On Monday, May 27, the Metropolitan City of Milan will officially begin construction of the bike path along the provincial road SP ex SS525, after several delays due to inclement weather. The infrastructure will connect the towns of Vaprio d'Adda and Pozzo D'Adda to Bellinzago Lombardo, at the roundabout that connects several provincial roads with the SS 11ovest. The bike path will end at the Bellinzago Lombardo shopping center, from which it will be possible to reach the Martesana cycle path. The estimated cost of the project is approximately €1.1 million. The infrastructure will be protected and separated from other road users at all times; in residential areas, it will always be flanked by a pedestrian sidewalk. The Metropolitan City also plans to lay fiber optic cable along the entire route to advance the development of digital infrastructure in its area. This is the first project to bring residents of the eastern part of the Metropolitan City of Milan closer to the M2 Gessate hub, for which safe and secure connections for slow mobility are currently being studied.
